Constructing and validating subscales

The 108-item questionnaire based on content analysis of personality traits which Saadi posed on the first chapter.

Factor analysis was used by SPSS11.5 software to determine the number of factors of the questionnaire.

T and Z standardization and normalization tables were separately gained for time-saving subscale and generally for other subscales of researcher-made questionnaire with the factors of five factor questionnaire NEO-PI-R is relatively acceptable.

Taking into account the confidence range for total score and each of subscales of the test, the cut point was gained.

Studies were conducted with a variety of healthcare professionals and reliability scores ranged from a Cronbach’s alpha of 0.72-0.90.

This tool has also been translated into several languages and used internationally.

The current study is a descriptive and correlational study, it is aimed to construct and validate personality measurement on the basis of Saadi's Golestan.

The IAPCC-R is based on Campinha-Bacote’s model of cultural competence, The Process of Cultural Competence in the Delivery of Healthcare Services (1998) and measures the five constructs of this model (cultural desire, cultural awareness, cultural knowledge, cultural skill and cultural encounters).In addition to, the results of research indicated that the questionnaire has an acceptable differential validity (diagnostic power) and it could distinguish the group referring counseling centers from healthy group.At one hand, regarding to independent-T-test, it was determined that there are no significant difference between girl and boy students’ scores on all subscales and total score except time -saving subscale.This effect holds when desire for control is high as a dispositional trait (Studies 1 and 3) and when it is situationally induced (Study 2).We also identify an intervention to increase new product acceptance based on the idea that new products threaten one’s sense of control.It is based on the Inventory for Assessing the Process of Cultural Competence Among Healthcare Professionals-Revised (IAPCC-R©) and also measures the five constructs of this model (cultural desire, cultural awareness, cultural knowledge, cultural skill and cultural encounters).Fitzgerald, Cronin and Campinha-Bacote (2007) conducted a study entitled, in which they administered the IAPCC-SV© to 91undergraduate nursing students at Bellarmine University Lansing School of Nursing and Health Sciences to establish reliability of this tool.Tested the self-efficacy hypotheses that (1) personal mastery expectations are the primary determinants of behavioral change and (2) individual differences in past experiences and attribution of success to skill or chance result in different levels of generalized self-efficacy expectations.A Self-Efficacy Scale was developed and tested with 376 college students.Click onto the following link for more details of studies using this tool ().■ Inventory for Assessing the Process of Cultural Competence Among Healthcare Professionals-Student Version (IAPCC-SV©) – Developed by Campinha-Bacote (2007), the IAPCC-SV© is designed to measure the level of cultural competence among undergraduate students in the health professions.
